1.2 Email Data (Gmail and Outlook): The application requests read-only access to your Gmail (Google) and/or Outlook (Microsoft) email accounts. Emails are securely processed and analyzed using our Artificial Intelligence providers (OpenAI and Gemini) solely to detect financial transactions such as expenses or income.
Only the transaction data extracted by the AI (for example: amount, date, description, currency, and merchant) is stored. We do not store full email content, attachments, email metadata beyond what is required for processing, nor do we modify or send emails on your behalf. We also do not access bank accounts, passwords, or credentials.

Email data is shared only with our Artificial Intelligence providers (OpenAI and Gemini) for the sole purpose of transaction extraction. These providers process data strictly under our instructions and are contractually prohibited from using your data to train models or for any independent purpose.
We may disclose information only when required by law, legal proceedings, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Sofiapp LLC and its users.

We apply strong technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and regular security reviews.
